Engine wise, you have more hp in the RSX-S but more torque in the Tiburon. What you will remember is this. Torque wins races, horsepower sells parts. The Tiburon is 168lbs more then the RSX-S.

Although that's generally the truth, weight becomes an issue here. Take for ex. the Ford Probe GT vs. the Honda Civic Si. Both cars have a factory rated 160hp (actually the Probe has 164 but whatever), but the Civic produces an anemic 111lb/ft of torque vs. the Probe's whooping 160lb/ft, and the Civic doesn't even make it's torqie till some 7000rpm!! So what does that spell, well in any race froma dead stop, the Prob will always pull on the Si, HOWEVER, get them going and it changes a bit. On the highway for example, drop both cars from say 70mph or so, watch the Si slowly but surley pull on the Probe (seen this first hand), why? Light weight + top end hp = lots of leg stretching power.
I see the new Tib putting about half a car or so on an RSX from a stop, with the RSX catching/passing by 3rd.
