try this......
COAST in neutral at about 45~55MPH .....let the engine idle(800rpm~1000rpm) then try shifting into THIRD from neutral....

mine grinds like a mother f*cker...Anyone's TIB does this??????

It shifts nice and smooth during normal 2nd to 3rd or 4th to 3rd but going from NEUTRAL to 3rd makes grinding noise....doesn't do that when shifting into 2nd 4th or 5th......

WHAT THE F*CK IS GOING ON

It seems you've lost 3rd gear synchro... But, you usually woudn't need to shift to 3rd from neutral, so, in any case use the 2nd or 4th synchros to move 3rd gear, just shift into 4th and then quickly shift into 3rd.
My advise, go to dealership FAST. If something is broken on the gearbox it could get between gears and ... let's not think about it. I know some manufacturers use magnetized gear cases so that broken fragments stay in the case and don't get in the way of gears, but I think Hyundai uses aluminum gearbox cases, so I don't think they have any magnet.
