Will apexi's S-afc work on my mafs sensor? also will it work with the alpine turbo setup, alpine comes with unchip, but if I get the s-afc I probably wont need the unichip anymore, also, will apexi's boost controll work with alpine? If not. let me know where I can find some parts.

I believe alpines unichip is used to control the fifth injector. Since the SAFC modifies readings going to you ecu, the ecu still handles the normal four injectors, not the extra fifth.

Boost controller should still work.

If you want you could probably not use that fifth injector, and get like four 440cc injectors as replacement for the stock 4 and then use the safc.
But ya need to tune on a dyno.

I thought the unichip was programed for the preset of ten psi. That is what the alpine unit is set for, so if I dont use the unichip with the 5th injector, I would HAVE to buy a boost control with the S-afc.

S-AFC's do not work with Turbo setups. They will work with MAF or MAP, but not superchargers or turbo chargers or nitrous.

The Uni-Chip is more than capable of running a turbo setup with or without a 5th injector. They key is finding a compent Unichip tuning facility.

Contact the company that makes the uni-chip

Random,
Dude I got a turbo set up on my Elantra and I'm running a S-AFC and it's running just fine. Ofcourse I don't have that unichip or an alpine set up. An I'm running about 7-8psi.

Sorry, I guess I should amend the above comment.

Onpol was also able to get a turbo setup running with just a S-AFC.

However, the S-AFC is not a wise choice for a MAF based turbo setup. The only way to get it running properly is to overfuel the engine in low boost mode.

The S-AFC is made for MAP or MAF based N/A setups and MAP based turbo setups.

I guess I should add.

The S-AFC works great for NA - MAP or MAF and OEM turbo MAP or MAF.

It doesn't work that well with aftermarket turbo MAP either... it may actually work better with an aftermarket turbo MAF. We get over rich conditions at low throttle and lean conditions at boost conditions... It just does not have enough control functions (% + or -, data points, input sensors) to make the necessary adjustments.

Good point cheuk, I did leave off OEM.

You CAN use the S-AFC with an aftermarket turbo "kit", however it is a less than ideal solution.
