well, as some of you know I have the 4G61BT in my X1 Excel and I also own a 93 X2.
One of the fellas in HyperWA works for a shop called 'Just Korean' and they have recently finished a 4G61BT conversion into the X2. I can assure you that it isn't that easy and requires some modification to all 4 mounts as the engine sits too high in the engine bay for the stockies (the 4G63 is slightly taller again!).
The standard X2 transmission is fine and will bolt straight up - just dont expect it to do another 100,000 miles on the turbo motor.
The clutch and gear cables are the easiest part of the job. Since the gear cables are flexible they just need to be bent down a little more. The hydraullic clutch has a flexible link in it which takes up movement so that gets left alone too. For the 4G63 you would need to get the flywheel, clutch & pressure plate from a 4G61 to fit the KM-201 (X2) transaxle bellhousing.
I have the larger KM-210 transaxle in the X1 although I cant recommend it as it is too much of a PITA to install (body mods for side clearance, custom driveshafts) - although it is possible & a better option in the long run.
The best bet would be to get this info 'straight from the horses mouth'. You can email this guy at:
