I was never happy with the performance of the standard motor, the only thing that really impressed me was that the speed from 150 to 200 was decent enough to beat other similiar cars on freeway runs. Using mobil 1 synthetic in the engine all it's life proved to me that it is the only engine oil i will buy for any car i own in the future, just have a look at the internals in the comparison section of my page - i recommend you all use it.
- I was looking to purchase the black coloured sonata, and sometimes i wish i did. i have never seen one here in brisbane, but there are a few here that are the same as my colour.
- Hyundai4G63T is the guy that referred me to this site, could u please msg me again, i had to change pc's again, thanks, and i can't see u online.
- Does Thomas T come on this board Hyundai4G63T? i haven't spoken to him for a little while...
- Fredd_00_69 i saw your car in one of the other posts, looks good and slammed, what sort of suspension are you using? i have coil overs, and am finding that at the ride height i have it as on the page, is as low as i'd like it to be for street use. If you're going to turbo your car, make sure you have solid shocks on the rear. As for the T25, if you are going to leave the compression ratio standard on your car then i guess it's a decent enough turbo, but i can tell you that you'll be running out off puff at about 4500rpm. I thought about modifying my standard motor, but decided against it, because i did not want hassles in my mind as to whether the motor would be reliable or not at a future date. As your gearbox lies on the opposite side to mine, you would need to look at an evo4 or newer version motor to fit into your car, but as i said previously, there is no gearox that i know of that will hold the power reliably. If you have access to gearboxes at the wreckers then that shouldn't be a problem. On my page in the OUTLAWS section, you will find a sonata similar to yours, turbocharged. Before you go about turbocharging, think of these things, access to Gearbox and Driveshafts, more regular servicing, and of course $$$. I know that in the final stages of modification, i am happy about the project, and that i will never recouperate my money, but if you are dead set on something you like, you won't need to justify your mods, particularly when you've just won the race.
