The left side of my car was taken out by a drunk driver sitting in front of my house so I didn't have it the majority of the holiday break. During this time thought my friend Joseph (has a 2k1 Manual stock except for some dress up and the resonator removed) was getting kills left and right. Within a week he put check marks next to a V6 Cougar, 2 I/E Civic EXs, my brothers I/E, rims, ect. '95 Accord LX (that car is really quite fast for being a relatively heavy sedan powered by the 2.2 SOHC VTEC), a early 90s V8 Camaro, and a couple more. So when I got my car back from the shop (' 98 SE Auto with I/E and BBTB plus some suspension and dress up but that hardly helps in a drag race) it was on. We went out to a desolate road (so it was safe) and went at it. I never lost but from the launch he had a 1/4 car length (due to the stick and my bald A$$ tires) and then by 60-70ish I was 1/4 car out ahead and by 110ish before we shut down I had about 1 1/2 to 2 cars on him. We did this 2 or three times with around the same results. In all I was relatively pleased. I just recently got new 17s rolling on 215/40s on my car and I was wondering if those would slow me down that much or if the extra grip from not having bald tires would make up for it. Just thinking. Either way he is getting an intake in a week or two so we will try again and see.

I own a '99 and a '00 Tibby.

I think the '00 tibby has a bit more torque in the low end. Both are pretty close, but I think the '00 has a slight edge.

The 00' has a semi-CAI... air is drawn from outside to the intake of the '00. The '99 has the exact same intake, but no way for the air to get to the intake from the outside, so I think it sucks warmer air.

Also, the shifter in the 00 is shorter and quicker than the 99, though the 99 seems to shift more smoothly.

Wow you own a 1st and 2nd gen. Do you drive them both or what? It wouldn't surprise me if the 2nd gens have a few tweaks here and there. If not HMC is sitting around doing nothing. My friend's 2nd gen is the only other Tib I have raced and I haven't lost yet, but there are quite a few variables to make any kind of comparo.

Heh, I have one for me and one for my wife. Currently I have the 2000 and my wife the 1999. We're probably going to switch back this coming summer to help keep the mileage evened out on them. I drive to work and my wife mainly drives shopping and such from time to time, so I put about 3x the mileage on that she does.

The 99 has 22,000 miles on it and the 00 now has about 14,000. By summer they'll be about even again, so I'll switch back.

I'd get the 2003 Tibby with the V6 and 6-speed, but it's a bit too soon to trade in one of the others (especially with the low mileage) so I'll have to wait for that

We are both 21 and with her getting a brand new car we thought are insurance would drop (Wrong) it went down 100 Bucks so we made out really good with the new TIb so now shes happy im happy and were saving money cant beat that...
