Developed by Hyundai Automotive Distributors Australia (HADA) as a concept prototype... Under the hood is a locally developed turbo kit tailored for Accent’s class-topping standard 1.5 litre twin-cam, 16-valve ‘Alpha’ engine, boosting power by nearly 50 percent to around 115kW at a moderate eight psi or 0.58 bar boost. Acceleration in the low to mid seven seconds for 0-to-100kph is expected. The kit comprises a Garrett T25 ball-bearing turbo with air-to-air intercooler, bigger injectors, re-mapped engine control computer, custom-modified airbox for improved cold air induction, an uprated clutch pressure plate and a 2” exhaust system with a chrome oval end pipe. The kit is in its final development stage and indicative recommended retail price would be around $7800 fitted for a one-off or around $7200 with some low volume sales. If HADA commissioned a small production run, a further price reduction would be likely. Delivering Accent Mach 2T’s performance to the road is a newly developed prototype HPSS (Hyundai Premium Sports Suspension) which boasts height- and rebound-adjustable, mono-tube high-pressure gas dampers all round, specially tuned coil springs with two springs per rear strut?a higher rated main coil and a second stage softer tender coil for small bump absorption and around-town ride comfort, uprated stabilizer bars front and rear with the rear adjustable, plus a full front and rear camber kit.

The HPSS kit would retail for around $3900 fitted. Accent Mach 2T’s HPSS lowers the car 50mm front and rear and runs just one degree of negative camber front and rear to optimize contact for the low-profile, unidirectional 205/40 R16 Falken ZE502 tyres on 16” x 7” ALT AT190 ‘Seven’ alloy wheel rims which together retail for approximately $1400 for a set of four fitted. A chrome front strut tower brace bar is also fitted to help preserve front end geometry in harder going. A more affordable HSS (Hyundai Sports Suspension) kit comprising new, lower sports coil springs integrated with higher performance strut dampers is also being developed and could retail for under $1400. A pair of DBA (Disc Brakes Australia) Gold cross-drilled and slotted front disc brake rotors improve braking at the business end of the car via more even pad bite, fade-resisting pad dust and out-gas clearing, better ventilation and lighter mass, all for under $500. Finished in standard yet striking Vivid Yellow, Accent Mach 2T stands out with its Sick Division ‘Accent Razor’ body kit which includes radical front and rear bumper lower extensions, side sill skirts, a chunky rear wing and a black mesh front grille with a unique body-colour surround, retail value around $2800 fitted. The show car’s body kit, being the first off example, is moulded in fibreglass but if a production run of sufficient eventuated, it may be affordably produced in a suitable pliable plastic composite similar to mainstream bumper bar appearance, material and durability. Inside, a pair of black and grey ‘Street Racer’ Momo sports front seats worth $1175 each match the Accent GS interior while a set of Momo alloy pedals with yellow grip pads and a yellow leather-highlighted Momo gearshift knob add appropriate touches. Furthering the fun factor is a premium, remote-controlled Clarion VRX 610P TV/CD/tuner with a 6.5” retractable screen, separately powered antenna for optimum TV reception, underseat 6-disc stacker, 4 x 50W RMS 4-channel amplifier, separate front mid range and tweeters, twin Clarion Reference Series 2-way high power rear speakers and a 12” sub-woofer built in to a massive, 1.25 cubic foot fully sealed side box in the Accent’s big boot, with room to spare. Approximate system retail cost is $6000 fitted...

By the time all the mod's are in place, you'll have a 12 second quarter mile accent, with a phat suspension, sound system, and look! That's my goal right there.

The Turbo installation by Silverwater Automotive Services (Chiptorque). If were lucky Chiptorque might release it as a kit similar to there excel kit. We would see the costs reduced from the current price, which is in au $.
