alrighty, so i was driving under a mid/light load and as the car shifted from 2nd to 3rd (automatic tranny) it bogged horribily and a cel came on, and the idle was horribile.

my 2 cel's were the VSS no signal, and cyl 3 misfire. i bought new plugs to get rid of the misfire and it kinda helped, but its still there, and inbetween 1,000 and 2,000rpms, its really bucking the engine.

i cleared out all the codes, and drove it, but its still messing up, only no VSS code, just the misfire in cyl 3, and the engine bucking.

any help or direction is appreciated.

btw, its a 2001 accent gl with the dohc 1.6ltr engine.

I would start with checking the wire harness on the vehicle speed sensor to make sure its not loose or anything. Check hmaservice.com for its specific location. If it seems to be okay then have it replaced....
