Hey anyone know where i can get a relativaly inexpensive turbo for my 97 accent, i want to go faster and i've never been a big fan of NOS so figure turbo is the road to go but i can't seem to find one....anyone help?


I prefer to take the road less traveled.....but now where the hell am I?

I know Alpine is <i>thinking</i> about it. But what I do know is that u can go the supercharger way. CAPA is there for ya! I know they have a kit for both the DOHC 1.5 and the SOHC 1.5. Nothing for me yet but oh well. Thing is, it's prolly expensive stuff, comming from Aussie land! Tell me if u want more info!

Well the aussie price of the supercharger kit for the twin cam is $4,271.
In american with our **** dollar value it turns out to be

4271 x 0.48
=$2,050

You could always do a custom kit, especially if u can find a scoupe turbo with a good manifold, conrods, and pistons.

Here in Puerto Rico, we dont use Accent made turbos, we use eclipse, S-coupe, Talon, Volvo, etc... You just have to work on them.

i like all my fellow tuners to have the info im looking for just in case they're looking for the same answer, makes things much easier.

Im still waiting on the price for the accent turbo, mind you I specifically asked for pricing on the 1.6l motor, im not sure if that would make a difference or not, which it shouldnt...
