I have a 96' Accent with the Weapon*R coilover and KYB shocks, custom intake w/K&N air filter. Weight reduction (removed rear seats, replaced front seats w/ Corbeau Racing seats, removed sound dampening). I'm now currently awaiting my new 1.8 Delta motor to arrive. Anywho; All of my friends and I go up to the Kmart plaza every Saturday night to bullshit and race at the lights. My one friend asked me to race his 93' Civic hatchback. It has only the muffler, an SI tranny, and intake. It is a DX so it is not VTEC. Anyway he wanted to see which motor was better pretty much stock. I told him I was pretty sure he would win b/c he had a few things done, but he just wanted to see. He said my car weighs less. Which I think it does, I'm not even sure? So we take it to the light. I didn't get a very good start but neither did he so it was pretty even out of the hole. 2nd gear was pretty close, but I could tell he was kinda pulling on me! By the time we hit the 1/4l he was the winner by only about 1/2 car length! I lost, but I was surprised, we both have 1.5 SOHC motors but his has some stuff done to it! One thing might be that his car has well over 100,000 miles on it. I can't wait to get my new engine in so I can rip him a new asshole! <img src=/images/forums/snitz/mad.gif width=16 height=16 border=0>
