Accent vs Civic

I had a 95 accent, then a 97 gt and a 98. I had Honda's in the oast. I hate Honda's. But let's be real. I tried to race against civics with my 3 accents. I never stood a chance. Basic civic will make 9.3sec from 0-60 with a good driver. No stock accent will make it below 10sec. Accent's top speed is 180km. I used to get 188 with my 95. The civic will go way over 200. So let's be realistic. Honda sucks but performs more than any accent.

I wish I could kick a civic's ass!

Well man...I depends on what kind of racing you are doing...stoplight? freeway? It makes no difference what your top speed is when you drag. With a few minor mods i'm sure you could be eating civics all day long... keep the faith hehe... <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I think the Civic competes more with the Elantra then the Accent. Elantra is a much better car then the civic. Its faster stock to begin with and the new 2001s are much nicer on the inside to. Honda is going down

ok ok... here's the big Accent vs. Civic deal...

somebody has been smoking crack, here are the facts:
I wanted to mention to you that I have the 1.6 DOHC variant of the alpha motor which gives me a 106 HP engine, with 107 lbs/ft torque. This compares to 1999 Canada spec Civics (DX, CX) wich have a 1.6 SOHC which produces 106 HP and 103 lbs/ft torque... therefore giving me the edge... now gimme the CAI which inceases let's say by 10 HP puts me somewhat more ahead!! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

You're right, you've been smoking crack! Real CAI do not exist yet for the accent. They are available in Australia. You probably did the same as we all do, get rid of the stock air box, and put a cone filter instead and relocated the MAS. 10HP increase!!!! Get a dyno test man! Your filter is now sucking warm air from the exhaust manifold, therefore you're losing power instead of gaining some. The only fact that it gives you a better throttle response and a nice sounding engine don't give you extra hp. You just sound like a riceboy! Why don't you had a v-tec sticker to your car for anotrher 10 more hp! I hate civics but the stock older ones will make 0-60 in 9.3sec, you're over 10 with your accent. The accent top speed is 180km and I know it. The civic is 210, I've seen it. So, stop bulshitting man!

I wish I could kick a civic's ass!
