It looks like the AEM cold air intake will be out later this year but it only list that it will fit 2000-2001 Tiburons....

Whats up with that!? i thought the 97-01 had the same exact engine??

Any know whats up with that ?

It will probably fit 98-2001 without a problem. The first batch of 97's have a canister in the fenderwell that interfere with the MHP and the Kore gen1 intakes, so you either have to modify the intake or get a different one if you have an early 97 model Tiburon. Otherwise they will work.

Oh yeah, AEM is not done with the intake for the Tib yet.

Just so all of you know the intake isn't the only thing being made by aem for us. They are also making the fuel rail, pullies, and all the other "normal" things they make for all the other cars. That was the words right of the techs mouth. Sounds like somebody got some interest in Hyundai.

Guess what car and what site got them interested .

They were gawking at the new Tib quite a bit during the SEMA show, and I was BSing heavily with them as much as possible. Even Steph Papadakis took a chance to sit in the new Tib.

Sweet. Not bad. I was going to E-mail then to see when they were coming out with the other items like the fuel rail, regulator, pulleys, etc. but I could not find one on their site. Does anyone know what it is? Last time I called them about the intake, they said it would be coming out late February, early March time frame. Will it be available in a polished pipe? Hope so.

All racers and import tuners know that AEM makes the BEST CAI's. They tune each individual intake on a dyno to achieve the maximum HP obtainable via that CAI for each car.

I believe HP.com will be dynoing ALL of the Intakes for the Tib. The numbers WON'T lie!

i noticed on a different post, a site said that the AEM intake had a diameter of 2.5 inches. this is, to my knowledge, the same diameter of the KORE auto intake. i am not, however sure about the bends in it and whether it will fit an auto tib. having an auto myself, i'd be interested in it. anyone know about this??

The intake is not out yet, so no one knows what diameter or what it will fit yet.

You'll just have to wait like the rest of us.
