I want to hook my amp and sub up myself. I have never done this before and I am looking for some help. I have a 400 watt rockford fosgate amp and a 10" kenwood. I don't know the rms on the sub because my brother gave it to me. What will I need to accomplish this task. Please help!!!!<img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

You need an Amp wiring kit that you could buy at ur local like circuit city, Best Buy or car audio place. That will tell you how to hook everything up and nething else you need to kno.

first thing u should do is turn the amp gains way down, if that amp is really 400 watts.......its gonna tear a kenwood 10" apart. Turn the gains down & turn them up gradually until u hear distortion(REALLY bad sounds from the sub) then turn it back down a lil
