Another injector question

I put in my oem original injectors for my accent, and at the very bottom of the injector (where the injector enters the intake manifold) is a round plastic ring which is chipped leaving about a half left. I was wondering if that piece is important or not if so please let me know, I still have the rubber bushing for the injectors
