I bought a set of those blue LED side markers from sharkracing and I brought them to a local custom shop. They told me they could not install them because of the complex shapes. They said they need a Plasma cutter to do this. Anyone have these installed or can recommend me somewhere to go to have them installed?

Do it yourself.
All you have to do is drill a small hole in the side of the fender put a little touch up paint around the inside of the hole. Run your wires through and use the double sided tape or whatever they give you to stick them on. It's as simple as that

Yeah the ones that I have are the SR racing models...... The look like a bitch to install. They come with a sticker cut out that is pretty basic but I don't feel comfortable cutting sheet metal yet...

Its Not Quite That Simple!

You can't just drill a hole, you need some sort of cutting device to cut out the notches for the light. The guy at the body shop told me they would have to use a plasma cutter...
I figure I might can do it with some sheet metal nibblers

Why don't you try drilling lots of small holes, in the shape of your cut out, then use a small file to join 'em up.

Don't use too much pressure on your cordless or you'll phuck up big style.

i put them on my car, you just put the sticker on and cut out the middle with a dremel tool, with a carbide rotary file tip. it took about an hour

A plasma cutter? What'd you go to a welding shop?

Dumb A$$

Actually I went to a local pro audio shop that does a lot of body fabrication. Personally, I think the guy just didn't feel like attempting it!

I dunno what those guys are the local custom shop are talking about. My friend's mom has a elantra. She fixed it up a bit. Big spoiler, rims, neons, etc. She also has the LED's from sharkracing on her car. My friend and his dad were able to drill holes in the side and install them themselves. So I highly doubt you need a plasma cutter to do that.

sorry no pics. they look just like the ones on SR's website. they are about 2" by 1" and you gotta cut a pretty big hole to put them in, but that is because they only stick out of the fender like a 1/4", they look good installed. oh yeah mine are green, just like all the other LED's on my car
