Help me someone. I just bought some brand new Alpine Type S component speakers.

They are great except whenever my system is turned off the "pop" or crank.

I dont know why as none of my other speakers do and the speakers are wired right.

Any solutions... dont want to keep having them crank as it will damage them.

No it wasnt the ground i had someone look at it and its the amp

the startup and shutdown controllers are ****ed so its not turning off propperly and instead surging power thro the speakers as it crashs off.

so new amp for me..... hmmm not happy

I would bet ground add a relay in your remote line to the amp and try that first would cost $3 and may save you from buying a new amp it will delay shut-off and turn-on maybe enough to help you.
