Thursday I put some of this on all the interior except carpet and seats and it made the car look awesome. However, my dad said that stuff dries out the plastic and stuff, is this true?

I've been using armor all and other versions of the same stuff for 2 years on my 99 accent. looks good still <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

If anything I would think this stuff keeps your dash lubricated because its always "wet" so it never "dries".

Thats BS. Armor All STOPS the plastic from drying out. If you don't put stuff on the dashboard, the sun will dry it out and crack the plastic.

You have two options. Dont use it and let your dash get sun-faded and dried out. Use it and protect it from the fading. But here is what they are talking about. If you use the stuff once or twice or more but then you STOP using it, your dash will dry and crack worse than before.

Perhaps morgasm. I guess that is believable if you stop using it. Armor All lasts a long time, for around 4 months. Its the best and longest lasting out there, IMO.

I tell ya, I don't know if it dries the plastic of your dash out, but it certain'y doesn't remedy a dried out dash. I used to use it ALL the time on my first car, an 84 t-bird. One day, drove it with a light diameter dowel leaning against it, hit some RR tracks, cracked the dash all to crap. So it certainly isn't a dash moisturizer.
