What springs are on your car in the picture "Front Bumper---10" from your gallery? <b>Your car looks unreal</b>. I take it those are 17 inch wheels? Any rubbing? Any other adjustments needed? ie.. cambers.

The Springs I am using are the Eibach 1.2" Drop springs. I am currently using the stock shocks, but plan to upgrade soon. The Eibach's are one of the stiffest spring you can find. They are made in Germany and shipped from there. What's good about these springs is that it is not a too big of a drop, meaning you don not have to get a camber kit. Just make sure you get them alighned after you are done. They are somewhat easy to put on if you have a couple a friends around and you know what you are doing. I did mine with 3 other buddies and it took about 2 hours.

Yes the rims are 17x7.5 Enkei CDR9's with Nitto 205/40's. I have had no rubbing from them and have been riding on them for about 8 months.

Hmm... It looks like a very nice drop. Do you think they drop you lower then 1.2"? I heard that people are finding its more like a 1.6" drop. I am really thinking about the H&R's. Maybe even the Apex 1.6" springs. Why didn't you go for the H&R's?

I will be buying 17/205's but don't know how much is too much to lower. I definately don't want rubbing.

you could probably say that the Eibach's are a little lower than 1.2", they probably get more compressed as they settle.

H&R are ok, but they aren't as stiff as the Eibachs. Also I knew I would be getting a kit on, and I didn't want it to sit to low, so I don't mess the kit up. Apex springs are not a good choice. H&R springs are made by Eibach. They have just a little more of a drop (1.5") compared to the Eibach's (1.2"). The Eibach's will give you just a little more of better handling characteristics, but both springs have similiar ride quality. <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Are you absolutely sure Eibach actually manufactures H&R? I thought they are both independant companies in Germany. I know H&R sells OEM for european brands like Porsche, Mercedes, Ford (Germany) and others. I have them on my Elantra and they are good stuff, firm but not harsh. I mounted them with standard KYB GR-2 shocks.<img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>

For the most part....Eibach is widely known here. H&R is still something new, but you're starting to see them in more and more rides. It helps alot also when you have companies such as Tirerack.com selling both types of springs and doing write ups on them. <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> People like to see differences and the benefits of owning each type.

OK to set this straigh. H &R is not made by Eibach. Not even close.... Most of the Eibach is now made in the USA in california at their location. Both parent companies are based in Germany bu are not the same. Intrax was part of B&G but then was sold or actually broke away from them. APEX and B&G shared some of the same spring manufacturers as SPAX in the UK did for a while but B&G was bought by another company and now has a state of the art production facility in Europe. Sprint, Suspension Tech, Arospeed, Gold Line, and well i am sure a few more are all made here by one of two companies either betz spring or suspension tech which owns bell tech truck suspensions and somthing else.
