Yes but most places will not do it because of the liability that comes with putting a remote start on a manual.

a place near me has auto starts for manuals, it has a safety feature that is supposed to detect when the car is in neutral.

My friend's 5spd Prelude had a remote starter in it. He accidently started it and the car ran over his 4 foot bush and stopped when it hit the stairs to his house. That sh*t was funny!

Some Clifford alarms let you remote start a vehicle with manual transmission. When you park up, you press the "start" button on the remote, then when you remove the key the engine keeps running. After you get out and use the remote to lock the car, the alarm stops the engine, and enables the remote start feature. If you stop the engine before getting out, the remote start is disabled. The alarm "knows", based on logic, that if you are out of the car (because you locked the doors and set the alarm with the remote) and the engine's running, the transmission must be in neutral. Therefore it's safe to enable remote start. If you stop the engine before getting out, the alarm has no way to know if the transmission is in neutral or in gear, so remote start is disabled as a safety measure.

Check out the users guide for Cifford Omnistart. Scroll down to page 9 and look at the section titled "Manual Transmission SafeStart"

I had a chat with my installer and he told me that auto starts on a manual is illegal. So if you tear some **** up cause you had this installed you better not say who installed it. Because they would probally be out of business with a few weeks.

I'll find out the name of the company who makes 'em. But there is another that makes remote start for manual transmissions. It's like 500 bucks though

I installed one in mine. I just used a magnetic reed switch to detect whether the gear shift was in the neutral position.
