automatic valve adjustment?
i was wondering if anyone knows what automatic valve adjustment is? when i look for tiburon specs i always see "automatic valve adjustment" under engine specs (engine specs for 97 tiburon, 2.0). i have used several search sites and cant find out what it is. if anyone can find out what it is or knows what it is, i would appreciate it if you could tell me. thanks.

I believe its remove the need to adjust the valve lifters/tappets. It is done relying on the hydralic pressure. Correct me if I'm wrong.
you are right. The shims are replaced with hydrolic lash adjusters or HLAs. You dont need to mess with them unless they are tapping really bad or go out (wont idle/no power)
