I purchased a 2001 tiburon and really miss the bass from my old ford probe. I want to put the subs in the tiburon however I don't want things to loosen up and rattle terribly every time I hit a bump after 10000 miles. Any suggestions

Are there any other options? Like a friend of mine will trade me straight up my 12" sub and box for his 10" sub and box. I considered that, any other opinions?

There's nothing you can do to stop rattles and squeeks due to an audio system unless you sound deaden your car. It's a pain in the ass, but well worth it. You'll have a better sounding system, your car will be insulated more, you'll get higher db levels in competition, etc...

You don't have to go way out of your way to do your whole car. Just do the main area's like your hatch, and your doors. <img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
