Highly doubtful

but once the car is released here in North America, I would be curious as to if you can throw the Santa Fe AWD onto the Tiburon.

I m thinking its still on the Elantra platform that the Tiburon was created, but if its on the Sonata platform I think that would be very interesting!

wonder if anyone down in Korea has thought up the same?

yes.. its definitely on the new elantra platform......

but... maybe just maybe someone can shrink the santa fe awd into the tuscani? <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
that would be <img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle> and <img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle> but never <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

Well its not out there. You can get AWD which has been talked about before (for a mere $40,000).

If its on the Elantra platform it might be tough though ;) If it was on the Sonata platform it would be a LOT easier

Mike, this guy who's a cousin of my friend John who works for HMC told me that they're already designing the 4th gen models and that they're gonna have twin turbo inline 20 cylinder and come pre-wired for rocket boosters!!! And that they're gonna fly and won't need wheels!

I don't think we will see an AWD version in the near term. But remember in the 3rd Generation Tib the engine is longitudinally mounted and the current Rally car IS AWD. Maybe we will see something for 2004. But I don't think I can waith that long.
