Has anyone ever pondered in the thought of one?
Rather than having a centrifugal turbine, have a multiple rotor and stator assembly, maybe 3 assemblies in a convergent tube that would lead to the intake. The assembilies would be turned the same way as a regular turbo charger with a shaft from a cetrifugal exhaust turbine. Maybe have a duel design have a axial compressor that pushes air to a centrifugal.

Problems:
mass (maybe use alminium alloy or titaniam hollow rotor blades.)
shaft length
bearing lubrication

just throwing this thought into the air if you do not know what i am talking about, do some reasearh on jet engines.

Price
Over complicating something that already works well.

I dont want to rain on your parade, it sounds like a good plan.. but i dont know if its worth it :ermm: The design testing and fabracting of somthing like that... i dunno... It does get the wheels turning up there though...

Everyday i stare at those turbine blades, how i would love to make them into a turbo charger.
