Im curious what the ideal bore is for a 2.0 tiburon (58-63mm?) bbtb and bim, I found a shop that will bore and hone the intake manifold for $30 in my area but i was curious which tb to go with, as far as the shark racing, barney(its purple like the dinosaur, thats just weird), or the hve ones phantom racing sells. If anyone has compared these or any other tb's offered for the tib that would like to comment, please do so because im not exactly sure but
a 63mm might be overkill, oh yeah, and the lowest price possible would be cool too

Generally the bigger the bore on the thottle body the better, but if the IM is bored to a smaller diameter then its going to be a waste.

If possible get a TB which is bored to the same diameter as the IM.
If this isn't possible then go for a larger TB.

I hope that helped!

thats not exactly what i meant, it is possible to go overboard, point in case is late model lt1(camaro) engines, anything over 65mm will actually hurt performance. That is on a 5.7l V8. I was asking more or less who has actually installed a bbtb and matched IM and if anybody had dynoed on the different sizes available

The status quo that I have been observing is 58mm...that is what I plan on doing, I think stock is 52mm...which is actually respectable, according to some shops around here...

anyways...If this guy will do your IM for $30? Is he only matching the inlet of the IM with the TB? Or is he boring out the entire unit all the way down to the outlets that lead to the head? Sounds like an excellent deal. Let us know more about the guy, if he does good work...I would be interested in sending him a TB and IM to do.

They quoted me $30 to match the im, all the way through, They said they couldnt do the tb for some reason, i cant remember why though.
