I have been chaning my oil for years with either Quaker State or Castrol normal 10W-30 in the winter, 10W-40 in the summer and never had a problem. I never tried the synthetic stuff. How is it? I know a guy that race-builds imports in my area, and he says to always break in a car with regular oil due to the natural minerals and stuff. On the first or second change go to synthetic. The only kind he will use is Mobil 1 synthetic, no other brand.
