Ok, I have only ran wires in a truck and in my old ford probe. I have a good sub setup I want in the trunk but couldn't find a hole in the firewall, I thought about drilling one but decided I will wait till I ask here. Is there a hole anywhere that I can use, the ford probe had a rubber grommnet that I just had to pull out. Also where in the cabin should I run all the wires? Thanks

I ran 1/0 wire in my car, and thought it was inpossible till I heard about this grommet.

Its on the passengers side, up behind the kick panel. Its pretty high up there and leads intot he fender area. WARNING! DO NOT just pull it out and run wire, water WILL leak in, my dumbass knows 1st hand. I took the grommet out, cut a slit in it, ran the wire through the slit, put the grommet back in and silconed the hell out of it, no more leakage :)

I don't know if we might be talking about the same hole but there is one about mid way in the car, that comes out right behind the center console, right behind your air manifold. check it out.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I had to do the same thing, If you look in the driver's door sill, near the wheel well, there is a small hole or a hole with a plug in it that I ran my wires through. You have to remove some screws in the protector in the wheel well. I ran my wires under that, under the door sill, and through the rear quarterpanel. Just e-mail me if you have any ?'s, then I will find the exact spot where I ran mine. [email protected]

Drive it like you stole it.

After I posted the last message, I went out and looked for the hole, but then I found out that it is near the fuse box inside the car. You have to take that panel off and there is a small hole where you can run your wires.

Let me just tell you what a pain in the butt it was to run power to the battery in my car. My dad and I looked for like 2 hours until we decided to put it through the same whole the sunroof drain is. Well 4 hours later and a couple of choice words thrown back and forth.. my stereo system is slammin. i have dancing people on my lcd screen on the stereo. its so funny....

Damn, I didn't think it was that difficult to do in a Tiburon. The Elantra is easy as hell. To connect to the battery, I just followed where all the other wires ran inside and shoved it through that area. No leakage, no nothing. I then ran my wires under the door sill trim and then right under the back seat to the trunk.

I eat Honda Civics for breakfast, Toyota Corollas for lunch, and Volkswagen Jettas for dinner

I am sure you have figured it out already but I found that the easiest way to run power wire from the battery to the trunk are in the tiburon is to run the wire underneath the car and come up in the spare tire well. There is a gromit right on the bottom of that and it is really easy to run under the car.
