beta swap..crunching into fifth?

check your shift linkcage. I got a wireing harness stuck in mine and i totally lost fith and reverse. Its a really big hole in there and stuff falls in it.

I think its just the accent trans. Mine would grind everygear at random.

My accent trany always crunches into third. I just try to ignore it since ive never found shavings when changing the oil.

Try exchanging your gear lube with Redline MT-90. I can't guarantee it will work for you but it worked like a charm for me and for like $35 shipped to your door it's more than worth a shot.

Buy 3 quarts. You'll use like 2-1/3 quarts. Jeg's has them for $7.99/quart and they have free 2nd day shipping (but they do charge some handling fees). It's like maybe a half hour job to replace the gear lube.

get a new tranny mount and plop in your Tib Tranny. Simple as that. You won't have the linkage problem any more.

yeah it's the stock tranny... first one i had in my beta had problems with 2nd, 4th and a little bit in 3rd with grinding.. replaced the trans with another one this one seems to be a lot better... hyundai tranny's sucks bawlz

could the engine movement have something to do with the shifter linkage?

could it be that my mount's are too soft?

You will love the Redline stuff its great. As soon as I get some extra money thats what is going back into my tranny. Really good stuff. You will love it.

what engine and tranny did you swap into your accent??

It's those darn Hyundai plastic 5th gears...


did you try double clutching/rev matching? Maybe you're going to slow for 5th or your shifting is at fault.
