Sorry to start a thread that probably already exists, but I'm seeing conflicting answers. Is it an advantage/possible to use the 1.8L intake cam in the 2.0L? from what Ive seen, there is an icrease in power. What else is needed? What sprocket to use? ECM? Running a 2003 Tib 2.0L on asphalt 1/4 mile circle track. Can't use aftermarket cam,but can likely get away with a stock cam swap if it has any advatage to it. Any other tips?TIA.

1.8 intake cam in my beta 1 2.0 does allow it to rev higher in 1st and 2nd gear which in turn gets off the mark much quicker than before with the 2.0l cam.

they have the same head between beta 1 and 2 even 1.8lt
That is so not true! Valve stem lengths, and the difference of hydraulic vs flat lifters being the largest differences. The heads interchange on the blocks, but that does not make them the same head.
