wow i just got back and read speed options review of sposch's santa fe and they completely dissed the truck but gave big big props to the ice that is installed. then i read all the reader's comments and there were a couple of "what do you expect it's a hyundai"'s don't you love how the webzines try to stay open minded, bunch of dumb ****s. and i used to like speed otpions. way to expand the scene.

Well, maybe if we got one of those flashy things from MIB(old a** movie!) and burned all of the early Hyundai models, then these websters would shut the hell up!

I'm just blowing off some steam because its people like that who really piss me off! You come on over to Jersey and you'll be suprised how many early(1986-1995) Hyundais you see, including me!!

You have a good day!

Oh an one other thing, if I have to keep smackin' down old Civic and Corollas, I'm gonna get a bit pissed!(wait, I already am!!)

The second gear on the 89 Excel's 5-spd manual is the best gear on the tranny! I actually accelerate faster starting in second and revving up to 2000 and just drop it! First gear is too short(and jerky), and fifth is an electronic joke. At least third can hit 60, and fourth can hit 91!!

Speed Options is just turning into one big RICE gathering now. I agree it used to be cool over there but too many Haters there now.

Hey Excel...I'm one of those people you see in jersey. I got a hyundai. But I do see a lot of older ones on the road. A guy I work with had 2 excels that he said with proper maintance, they run perfect. Now his lumina engine went at 110k miles. All about maintance on a car more then what the rep is!

I eat Honda Civics for breakfast, Toyota Corollas for lunch, and Volkswagen Jettas for dinner

I see more 1996-2000 Elantras than I know what to do with!!

I rarely see 1992-1995's and the 2001's are progressing in numbers! The thing I don't see the most are XGs or Sonatas. I only saw one XG, and that was in Delaware. I have only seen just 'V6' models of the Sonata, no GLS designation(must be a 99 GL V6).

I properly maintain my engine as well. I sometimes dog it on the Turnpike when I'm merging, but thats about it. I cruise at 65-70 effortlessly on the T.P., but people still pass you at 80-90! Where are the stateys when you need 'em??

Well, enjoy your Hyundai and hope to see you out there! Look for a 1989 Excel GL thats beige/beige. It has a blue(older) license plate!!
