Do any of you know if I could replace my body color side moulding with black ones?
Some one hit my driver door and dented the hell out of the moulding! Or do any of you think that it would be worth it?

Dude, one thing I can't stand about the GT is that you don't have any option of choosing body colored side molding. That's the only reason why I got my car in black. Most people will feel the same way also. If I were you, I'd stick with the body colored one.

Mine came black. Personally, I'd stick with the body colored side moulding... looks clean. You could replace it wiht black, but it'll cost more since you have to replace all of them.

I don't know how representative it would be, but side mouldings for a 00 elantra gls would be $300/set/side or more, depending what dealer you got them from.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/guns.gif width=33 height=16 border=0>

I think that the stripe on the front and back of the car is actually molded in the bumper, so you would have to replace the bumpers as well. Just buy a can of black spray paint.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/tongue.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

What car do you have? I know the GLS only has bodycolor side moulding. You might be able to stick the moulding from the GT on there. Or you could get your moulding painted black. I like the black moulding myself, but only some foreign models have it on the front and rear bumpers. Maybe you can spend a whole lot of money to ship in ]new bumpers from austrailia.

I have the 02 GLS I just want to change the ones on the doors. From a distance the car looks a little plain, but I dont want to put in a body kit. GT and GLS look to be the same size.
