at what power levels do alpha rods take a poop, need to know whats the most power i can efficeintly make without breaking things.

Really theirs no exact mark. When they break you went to far. Awhile back a thread discussed it and someone claimed to have broken them at 180hp but so many factors come into play (tuning being a major one) noone knows for sure. I say push it til you break it ;-)

ytewah im looking for 200++wheel hp, i am tuning with a mega squirt. this car is gonna be done right and not hacked, i want ot accomplish something here. Kind of like being the smart kid on the short bus but, id get some recognition.

if you tune it REALLY REALLY well.... and wanna do it right... (like using water injection in addition to the intercooler) i dont see why you couldent hit 25 psi on stock rods. maybe put some ARP fastners on the rods. like what was said before, keep pushing it till you blow it up, then you know you went to far.
