Hi im kinda clueless on what these really do for my car..

Well i know what rotors are but whats the deal with Drilled ones?

i have to do a brake job on my tibby and i just want to know if i should buy Factory Rotors or get some of these Brembos?

Any links to a web site or some friendly advice would be nice

whoa...ho ho ho....

those brembo brakes are the bad asses...

the reason why their drilled is to let out heat from the friction between the pad and the disc..
you can stop WAY faster that way...

if you get a big brake, cross drilled with 4 pistons calipers, and on top of that ceramics...then you got one hell of a brake..

P.S. not sure if Brembo has ceramic brakes available for the tibby

I think they do make them, but not just in ceramic(which costs a lot more)...

Dont think he's BSing about it...
Just to make sure, contact him first before you go for it..
I think its a good buy...

Check out the 03 Tib in the SEMA show...they had 2 tibbys with brembos on them...

True cross-drilled rotors are bad. They should only be used on race cars. Cross-ventillated rotors are good. The difference is that cross-venillated rotors are cast with the holes in them and are not likely to suffer from heat stress fractures. Cross-drilled rotors start as solid rotors and have holes drilled in them. The Brembos are cross-ventillated, not cross-drilled (even though their own website calls them "cross-drilled"). The reason why holes improves braking performance is because they not only provide more surface area for better cooling, but also help to scavenge away the thin layer of gas that forms between your brake pads and your rotor. This layer of gas has the same effect as a puddle of water on the road. A good analogy is how a slick race tire (solid rotor) will hydroplane easier than a treaded tire (cross-ventillated rotor). Hope this helps.

I'm sure he's selling just the front pair. An important thing to remember...since he says they are for 96-98 Tibs, they are likely the captive rotors. Not all '98 model Tibs have the captive rotor setup, and if you don't you can't use those brakes. Search the forum for "captive rotors" and you'll find more info.
