well, i was thinkin of gettin a CAI for my '00 tibby, and i looked on the KORE site and noticed they have 2 versions. my question is, what is the difference between version 1 and 2? any info on this would be much appreciated.<img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

one comes with a AEM bypass valve and the other one doesn't<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I just found out that the difference is that version 2 can take the bypass valve but version 1 can't. You can however order it either with or without the bypass valve.

The bypass valve is just for safety. Just in case or for some dumb reason or another your filter get submerge in 2 ft of water. The motor is powerful vacuum that sucks air in. The bypass acts as a relief valve that open when your filter is block and allow the motor to breath. As far as power gain, you lose a very minimal amount from the power you gain from the CAI. <img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>
