Hey guys, I was inquiring from speedstate about their catback and the guy said that some 2001 tibs have 2 cats - one right at the manifold and the other under the car. If you have the one under the car he said the catback wont fit . I have that setup!
What CAN I do exhaust wise ?

You can also wait till KORE starts making them again. KORE's cat-back will fit if you have that 2nd Cat. It is all stainless steal, powder-coated and I believe it came with a chrome oval Muffler, with 4 inch tip.

Hmm.. maybe I will just wait for KORE. It's not like I don't know I can get pipes done myself - had many a car with that. It's just I've always had 6's or 8's and I would rather get something tuned to the correct back pressure rather than a straight thick pipe to turbo muffler like I used to do ( or header to glasspac) .
Any idea how long ?

Unfortunately it could take a little while cause Dan (the owner of KORE) has been ill
Hopefull it will not be too long and it will be worth the wait

Made my decision. Ordered the shark racing 4 2 1 header and talked to a local speedshop that will do a custom exhaust with high flow cats for me. When I thought about it , the header is the only real way to go.

just please, please make sure that they extend your 02 sensors, if not you will regret it, as the car will lose some power due to the wrong reading, and you will have the dreaded Check Engine Light... remember 1 sensor has to be at the front of the cat and the other one right after... It's funny I just realized how much power I was losing because of this, when you reset your computer by disconnecting the battery, there's of course no Chk Engine light, but all of the sudden driving along the car gave a jolt and the light came on, and I can feel the loss in power almost immediately, well I have ordered my high flow cat and will be installing it next week, which should test out my theory...
