Hello,
So I have a 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T. Last night my car alarm system kept going on and off. At first it was every hour all the way down to at least every 5 minutes until 2am that is until I disconnected the battery. Door sensors are fine, hood sensor is good, key fob battery is brand new and the battery to the car is new and even checked it incase. Has anyone had this issue before and if so PLEASE help a girl out. Luckily (knock on wood) it has not gone off while driving down the road.
Thanks

Do you have a reader? can you read live data? when this started happening did you look at the dashboard without opening the door and see if the indicator of door open was flashing/lit?
If you can read the data then read the live data for each door and see if they are all coming as shut.
Alternate and cheap thing you can do is find the fuse for the alaram system and remove it. But that can be a security risk. some people claim that cleaning the door hinges and the trunk hinge can fix this.

Most alarms have a voltage drop function to trigger them. Test the battery and check the leads. If there is a fault causing the battery to lose voltage, then look at the alternator. Good chance that it has a bad internal regulator (blown diode)
