i have a 2000 accent 1.5L and when i floor the accelerator in neutral it will bog down before it accelerates and then when it accelerates it will start to bog down again i changed the fuel filter,o2 sensor before the cat ,pcv valve and ran a tank of gas with fuel injector cleaner and the problem persists making it hard coming out of 1st gear any help would be greatly appreciated ohh and also there is a weird scratchy type sound at start up which eventually goes away after it runs for about 5 minutes

Simple.. dont floor it. Ease into the gas.. Pretend there is a egg under the gas pedal, you can floor it, just not quickly.

That might help, or there is something seriously wrong with you car that some expert might know about but im not sure what it is.. he he.. My car does the same thing.. i gave up trying to fix it.
My 95 Elantra did the same thing. It was the TPS. I dunno about your car, My old Elantra was Mitsubishi based.

I tested the TPS by checking the output gradually from idle to wide open throttle and checked for dead spots. Sure enough there was one just after idle. I got a replacement from a junkyard.

From WebTech:

--Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector.

--Measure the resistance between terminals 2 (sensor ground) and terminal 3 (sensor power).

Standard value: 0.7 - 3.0 kohm

--Connect an analog ohmmeter between terminals 2 (sensor ground) and terminal 1 (sensor output).
--Operate the throttle valve slowly from the idle position to the fuel open position, and check that the resistance changes smoothly in proportion with the throttle valve opening angle.
--If the resistance is out of specification, or fails to change smoothly, replace the throttle position sensor.

Does the problem get worse when the car warms up? Is it a high mileage engine? If these are true (or perhaps it was hit or bottomed out hard somewhere) then the honeycombs in the catalyst may be loose and causing air pressure to build up.

This was the cause of death on my 1987 escort, from a leaking injector. Hydrocarbons are mean to nickel and platinum, and also they trap heat, making it even worse.
that same problemhappened to be when i first got my car. no power. put plugs, wires, and that did the trick.

Thats what im thinking for my car, it fvcking flies when its cold, holy crap its fast... but as soon as it warms up, nothing.

Plus... my cat hits my driveway everytime i park in there, and its the stock one from the factory... I smell i cat delete in my future...
My 01 RD Tib is doing the same sort of things, and I just bought it (used) on Tuesday!! I have been searching for a solution for a while now. I am taking it back to where I bought it tomorrow morning for them to look into, and am still wanting to know what to expect from them. The car has no response in first (when the engine is warm) until around 400rpm. I estimate it takes me at least 5-6 seconds maybe even more just to get to where I can shift to 2nd. All the while the car bogging, bucking, and stuttering and sputtering. HELP!!! SOS!!! :dead:
maybe you guys should check out your mass air flow sencor if you have one!!! it usaly wont throw a code when its started to get bad but as it gets worse it will and that was the problem for me!!
