Hey just got my car tinted today. 35% and it looks great! Only problem was a lack of ac, 90 degree weather, and windows that can't be opened for 3 days.

Solution : Delivered pizza today in my bosses civic. Nice ride but it seems unusually bumpy, noisy, and things rattle/knock/bang while driving. I like my accent better, much more solid :)

One good thing did come from riding the civic, I love the exhaust! I ordered it today, will be ordering the sharkracing 4-1 header monday/tuesday next week(tip depending), and am looking for custom cat converters. I plan on getting all three and then having a completely custom exhaust installed all at once, cheaper than doing it piece by piece.

Anyone have any recommendations for cat converters?

Almost forgot, for anyone curious here is the exhaust I am having installed:

Tenzo-R
Type-2K Carbon Fiber
w/ Removable Silencer Piece

Can't wait to get everything together to have this exhaust job done!

I know the feeling with those tinted windows! I got mine done 35% last summer in 80 degree weather in Seattle. Sucks with no AC. But I'm glad I don't have AC, it'd slow the car down.. :D

Whenever the days get really hot and I see another accent identical to mine with its windows up I remind myself that my car goes faster :)

Just noticed today that a pappa johns driver is riding around in a 2k+ four door accent. I want to get beside him, you know with my dominos sign and his pappa johns sign...see who is faster :)

So, no one has any clue about cat converters? Its been suggested to me that I could remove the converter entirely when I have the custom exhaust installed...how much noise and how much power gain would I be looking at?

Anyone know?

Paige

You guys better be glad you don't live in Savannah Ga. Down here you would gladly give up a little hp for ac.
I still turn mine off when I race.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> <img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle>

When I was in Cali with Team SR and they were doing they're dyno runs, there was a BMW that got his cat removed. Funny thing it, it didn't make any difference. Removing the cat, or putting an aftermarket one on, isn't really worth it unless you're putting down gobs of power.
