does anyone make carbon fiber hoods for the 2000 elantra gls and maybe with a hood scoop. I have seen some on pictures but cant find them on any web site. If anyone knows can you write back. Thanks.

nope.. ive been looking for the past 4 years.. and even tried to get a bunch of people in for a custom one.. and always been short.. unless everyone has a sudden urge to buy one.. its not going to happen.. and the ones you have seen are either custom made or have a carbon fiber sheet over them.

if i remember correctly.. i think we need 15-20 COMMITED people w/ money ready to deposit... if we can get this.. then i will contact the people i was in touch w/ and get it done.. as of right now.. one of my sponsors for our car club.. is currently making a gauge pillar for our 99-00 elantra's!.. i should be getting the first one in, in a few weeks.. ill keep you updated as time comes

i asked a guy to see if he can make us a hood

im thinkin we might get a fiberglass one as carbon fiber JUMPED through the friggin roof and is sooooooo hard to get ahold of right now(for any car)

and i think we wouldnt need 15-20 people might be less than that

yea thats the same w/ me.. i would need 15-20 people.... im gonna ask my guy.. if he can make us a fiberglass one.. even if it means having to run up to toronto from LI... figuring i just bought a 5speed elantra.. i would have my old hood lying around.. so i can spare it

i highly doubt that they will custom make just one hood due to cost

I can get them made if there are 10 people interested. I helped with getting some made for the the SHO and then took over.
