I did this once and I never actually unhooked the A/C controls. If you look on the back of the fascia you'll see that the knobs are held on by white brackets. You can unsnap the controls from these brackets leaving the knobs still attached. I haven't done it in awhile but I think that's all there is to it. Hope this helps.

I had to ask a dealer to tell me how to get it off to install my amp!!

here's how it goes, anyway on mine.

there are under the dash (stick your head where the pedals are) there are two black wires covered by yellow foam. follow these until you get to a clip that holds it there. unclip... you're done that side. There is another one on the passenger side, but it is closer to the fan (closer to the door) than on the driver's side. unclip that one as well... now pull the front facia. you'll now have alot of play! hope this helps.

oh yeah, when you put it back, make sure that the wires are not too tense as the knobs will not fully work!

good luck with this <img src=/images/forums/snitz/cool.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

you undo the cables, and take out the 2 screws, than carefully pull that thing off, reach inthere with your fingers to get behind it.
