My 2004 Elantra came with rear drum brakes. I want to convert them to disc. After doing a little research on Hyundai parts online, I was wondering if i could swap out the drums and hardware. THen, replace them with rotors, caliper, and mounting hardware? Using the same carrier assembly ( or hub and mount).... I was reffering to the Elantra GT vs. the GLS. I don't know about the Tiburon. The parts and setup look very identical according to the parts book.....

I think you might have to swap the entire rear part of the brake system, as I think that drums and discs need diferent amounts and pressure... Plus there's the handbrake problem too. But I think it's been done though.

Just be glad you have non captive rotors in the front and stop complaining. ^,^
