i've had my tib since mid november, put about 5600 miles on it, and changed oil around 750, 1500, and 3000 miles per random's recommendation...

as i was looking in the engine comp earlier w/ a friend, we noticed some coolant sitting on top of the trannie housing...obviously there shouldn't be any there and i'm not sure how to phrase the question...so...any thoughts?

i figure to take it to the dealer to have them take a lookbut i'm damn well not interested in not having my car for a week or some ****...

Coolant on top of the tranny housing? There aren't any coolant lines running anywhere near the tranny. Closest is on the right side of the block/head where the thermostat is.

Check those hoses for leaks, and verify that the clamps are on properly. Check the seal/gasket around the thermostat housing too while you are at it. If you see any corosion around that area, chances are something is leaking in that area.

Leave it to Random to Needlessly complicate things.
