im sure it could be, but its all crap parts. i wouldnt recommend it.
we tried to mate that manifold up to my 1.6, but the ports were spaced out just enough that we decided not to- could definitely forsee boost leak. that and the way it's designed the turbo hung pretty low making the drain probably impossible to do without a scavenge pump like paul used.

as far as crap parts, not so sure about that. i prefer the clamps in your second link and the silicon couplers look a+. it also looks like they include an extra wastegate gasket which is a plus, i know i needed one because knuckle head didnt tighten down the screws enough and the gasket pretty much just blew itself away.

i'm a fan of the adjustable bovs too, probably because i dont have one.

even if the turbo is a cheap crap part, it will get you up and running for awhile and give you time to shop around for another if you want.

my 2cents (5 when we abolish the penny).

No doubt, just wondering, considering I think its rediculous to spend 1/4 of a cars value on a turbo alone. Thats not bad if its on exhaust, turbo, intake, rims etc. Eventually I will try and make it work with another manifold. Either on a Subaru Forester non Turbo, a Mitsu Pickup or on my accent.

cheap clamps are just that. they break constantly. an ebay knockoff wastegate is boost creep and boost spikes just waiting to happen. so when that happens theres a good chance you can say goodbye to your motor. with these ebay turbos a lot of the times the shaft isnt even balanced, or the fins are all screwed to hell. in that scenario that turbo isnt even going to get you running.

going fast isnt cheap. ive learned that the hard way. if i would of forgot the idea of cheap turbo setups, my car would still be running and would of been a hell of a lot faster a long time ago. if you want to do it, do it right the first time. its going to cost more money, but its going to save a ton of hassle and money in the long run.

Very well said everyone about cheap turbo setups. Mine originally was a cheap turbo setup and though it worked well left alot to be desired. Now that I've got endless $ and hours into and it moves fast I've realized the $ has only begun......
So, it would be cheaper to spend $3500 on a single kit than spend $500 on one, if it breaks get another, if it breaks get another, if it breaks get another, if it breaks get another, if it breaks get another, if it breaks get another... Oh yeah, now we got to the same cost. Guess dats why Im a newbie, trying to prove myself right to the pros :(. You guys make me feel special in a bad way :( lol
you dont have to buy a kit, you can piece together a quality turbo setup for a decent price. if you want to buy crappy stuff over and over, go ahead, no one is stopping you.
Good point. Never thought of that. So can any 1 gimme an estimate if I piece it togeather myself?
depends on exactly what you want.
////..............& then get the mods. professionally set up by an expert, using a rolling-road (dyno) & laptop computer......BEFORE risking your whole investment on the road!.

This will save you $$ thousands!.
