Do these seem legit? Has anyone tried them? Seems like a pretty good deal but I'm hesitant. What do you guys think?

I got cross drilled rotors off ebay for my x3 the only thing I didnt like about is that they said it was zinc plated, but it gets rusty after a rainy day. I think blacktibs is still making rotors I hope. I heard he sold good quality rotors that were zinc plated. I want to get slotted rotors for my LC. Lets ask blacktibs.

Too tell you the truth unless your doing hardcore racing, you wont notice the small gain in braking that cross drilled or slotted rotors will give you, but they do look cool so hey why not.
I have the cross drilled and slotted rotors from ebay. The ones I have are zinc plated which have not rusted as of yet and its been quite rainy here latly. My brakes feel better but that could also be because of the different pads I am using.
I've heard a lot of good feedback from ppl who have them. Say they like them a lot. 1 guy has had them for almost a year (10 months) and he highly recomends for the price. I'm gonna pick up some for myself though.

I do hardcore racing and hangout with hardcore racers. We all use OEM discs or brembo blanks

Its the pads that will make the biggest difference
Well my OEM rotors are already warped so I gotta do something. Maybe I'll try these out with some nice pads. Thanks for the input

Ive gone through 2 sets of pads on my OEM rotors from the factory and they are still good. Although Ill be changing them soon.

The key to good braking is good pads and fluid.

Personally Id got PBR ULT Ceramic Pads with Motul RBF or Valvoline Syn power brake fluid and OEM Hyundai rotors or brembo blanks
Tire choice are the most important thing when talking about stopping. So stickier tires will help you the most. Than pads w/ better bite (like the green brake pads). Than either you can go w/ rotors and or braided lines. Than you'll be doing some nice stopping.

Green pads are total junk. They "melted" on me. Alot of people I know dont use braided lines only because they hardly make a difference worth while. My friend who has been racing for 15 years still uses OE rubber lines on his type r

but you are correcto about the tires personally id go with RT615 195-60/14

braided lines make a very good difference.
Braided brake lines are just rubber or plastic lines reinforced with a braided stainless-steel and teflon sleeve, which prevents the rubber line inside from expanding under pressure. They don't change the ultimate line pressure in the brake system, so peak braking torque does not change. What does change is the transient brake response, because pedal effort will instantaneously tranlate to line pressure instead of ballooing the brake lines. It is this quicker response that will take a couple of feet off of high speed stops.

Also EBC green stuff is very abrasive it seems.. so I wouldnt use them on your 'flashy show rotors'. Anywho... So find what ever pads you can pick up w/ more bite like Axxis I think the other brand is.. Read reviews and find what you believe you can trust.. as anything else in life

i will only use braided lines ive had a stock rummer one go on me b4 while driving my talon and your break peddel going to the floor stopping at a red light is a really bad feeling lol

Try having that happen going 50 and you try to slow down to make a 15 MPH turn. I fliped my Mustang because the brake system was over 33 years old.

I was talking to the other people who were interested in upgrading their braking systems. To do their homework before just throwing **** on their car.

My friend is still running EBC on his Civic w/slotted rotors and he hasnt had any problems. Maybe you got a bad batch or they could of changed the compound in them which I believe they did..

Anyways, like I said.. do your homework and see what works best for you.. Axxis, EBC, any other biting brake.. OEM = the suck

Even check out the hp.com store: http://shop.hyundaiperformance.com/shop/cat.php?c=1

**now that this is totally off topic.. keep this back to rotors off ebay**

I wouldnt trust them for where they came from... Ebay. Rob always told me.. "I wouldnt trust my braking ability/life from cheap knock off parts from ebay"

See less See more
I bought a front strut bar off ebay and that thing has been working just fine for me. it's not Evo Fusion or Shark racing but you know what it's all the same stuff just cheeper. thats how you get started in business, make a name for yourself. In order to do that you have to start by drawing ppl in with good cheep prices. Then they see the quality of your product and keep comming back. Ebay is'nt all thieves trying to rip you off with what appears to be a good price for a garbage product. Look at the feedback half those ppl have and maybe you'll see they just might be selling something thats real good.
..again. It all depends. If you bought the 'adjustable strut bar'.. that thing is garbage. The real thing is much better, sturdier, out performs.

locked due to being way off topic now.
