if i go 2.5" press bent will i loose a lot of low end tourque? other than a good muffler anyone have any suggestions on how to get the most bang for my buck with a custom cat-back. what do the companies like kore and pacesetter do to increase power with just a new cat-back?

To help you out. I got a 2 1/4 press bent exhaust and saw no loss of bhp or torque anywhere. ( i saw the dyno graphs ). Otherwise my motor is a stock 2ltr 5 speed Lantra (apart from minor tuning and intake mods).
The only reason i didn't go to a 2 1/2 is the possible noise factor.
On my 2 1/4 i got the most free flowing straight thru mufflers i could buy.

My car is definitley louder than stock, but not too loud and has a deep tone.
Million dollar question:-If i went back in time would i choose the 2 1/4 again?
Yes.
If i wanted every tiny bit of power with no consideration for noise, then i would go for the 2 1/2 exhaust.

If, by press-bent you mean crush bent, save your money a little longer for mandrel-bent corners. Any shop can buy them (as most don't have a mandrel-bender), and weld them together like a puzzle with straight sections to make you a custom cat-back. If you're already looking at mandrel-bent corners, I'd stick with 2.25", as 2.5 just has too much internal volume to build backpressure, and you'll most likely lose low-end, and might not gain top-end at all. My $.02
