Why can't we delete are own post?
You know just in case we don't need are question answered anymore. Or if we regret saying something bad, we can delete the post before anyone reads it. Not that anyone here would say somthing bad<img src=icon_smile_shy.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>.

That would be for the mods to decide. If you delete a post and somebody replied then you would also delete the replies. Someone also may delete a topic that needs to be covered. If you ask aquestion and figure it out before you receive an answer than you can always reply to your own post. As far as saying something you may regret, I just suggest you think about what you type before you post it.

I don't think you can delete your post in any other Hyundai forun either but you can always edit them.

If you want us to delete a post, just go into edit and type on the post "Moderator" in bold..."Please delete", if it is a big problem or mistake. I wouldn't mind doing it for you.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

IMPORTRACER2000,
I made my sig at cooltext.com but at the moment it is down. You can make your sig there, then copy it on your HD, then put it on your own URL because they won't keep it on there site.<img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle>

TeamSR&Fxtreme does have the option to delete your own replies and your own topic that you make. When you go to edit your reply or topic, right at the top of the page it asks you if you want to delete it. And if you want to just put a check in the box and it's gone, I've done it a few times already. I only do it if I find out someone else already asked my question.

I've notice some people hate when you ask the same question over again with out searching the forum's first. I mean if someone had asked it already and was answered, why post it again. It happened to me and was told next time use the search.

But it's not that important to delete your post, like you guys said you can always edit you post or topic.
I just thought I might suggest to have an option like that.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Hmmm? I tried to delete a post once at FXtreme and it told me only mods could do it. *shrug* Don't worry about asking the same question over here that someone may have asked prior. I myself will not bitch about it.
If it something you changed your mind about posting then IR2 is right, just edit it and we can come by and deleate it. That is what I was suggesting when I pointed out the edit feature.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Oh one more thing, when you tried too delete a post was it your own post?
It has to be your own post or reply.

Opps I pressed "reply with quote" instead of the edit button for the post above.

I have deleated one before but maybe that time I was doing something wrong. I thought they just removed the feature.

Let's get a vote going. Who here thinks I should add the feature to delete your own post?

I for one do, and edit as well. Me thinks it will save <b>some</b> time for the administrators and moderators thus preventing <b>some</b> frustration.
Also...on a side note. Is it just me. The only way I can reply to a thread is "reply with qoute". In other words...Where's the reply button?

The reply button is at the top and bottom of the screen "<img src="http://www.hyundaiperformance.com/images/forums/postReply.gif" border=0>".

Also, you can edit your own post.

The only prob I see with deleting posts in when others have replied. You also delete their replies. This means their opinions may also be deleted and there is a potential for problems in that.
For instance: If you you flame someone (which I hope does not happen) and they put you in your place then you delete the post then there could be an issue. Or if you make an incorrect statement and someone goes through the an effort to prove you wrong you could delete the post to try and save face.

All the reasons I have heard to have the feature can easily be resolved by the editing or replying to your own post before someone else does. If a flame gets out of hand or anything else the mods will be there to lock or delete the post for you.
