Just for all of you who were wondering why I have been gone for the past month it is cause dells tech support could not get their heads out of their asses.<img src=icon_smile_angry.gif border=0 align=middle>
My modem was not working so the sent out a service call and even though I made it very clear that my adress had changed they left the old zip code in the system so my service call was sent down to Savannah Ga. (I now live in Mn near the Twin Cities)
I was very understanding the first time they put the call in but was quite pissed when I had to do it 5 times<img src=icon_smile_angry.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_angry.gif border=0 align=middle>.
Needless to say I will think twice before making my next PC a Dell<img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle>

ha ha, actually I work with laptops only but have buddies in desktop and server that can help. They drive non hyundai cars so Im not too sure about them.

Dell has the Inspiron 8100 (1.13ghz but only 32m GF2) for now. Expect to see what you want around christmas. Also a sub 3lb. system running at 1ghz. What I want is a sys with the ATI all in wonder. Not the best for games but I dont play alot anyways.

lol, i just ordered a dell yestarday (26th) 8200 Desktop series.. i hope they know that i used a debit card and the cash IS IN there.. lol.. i did next day shipping and it says 10/12/01... wtf is that? lol <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Keep checking on the price of that sys. If it goes lower in first 30 days, call them and complain, they will refund the difference. Also if you got the 80 or 100 gig hdd there is a backlog of 10-15 days. Same thing if you ordered it with windows xp. Sorry about that but thats the way it goes with the newest systems. Oh also remember its a buyers market, time to wheel and deal.

Hey yourdaddyrobert... No offense to Dell or any other mfr. But I don't give a rats ass if my laptop is heavier than 3lbs. I want one that'll compete with the newest desktops. I want to be able to put the two side by side and be happily satisfied that they are almost identical (taking into consideration the differences physically and layout wise). You know what I mean? A huge HD, plenty of RAM, A nice 2gHz processor. Whatever the newest desktop technology is, in a laptop.

Laptops will catch up with todays computers but at the same time desk tops will also be advancing. Basically a desktop will always be faster. You have to give something up when you shink the size down.

actually i got it with the 60 gig... they havent taken money from me either.. i NEED this computer now.. i cant do my online college courses without it.. cause this cimputer sucks so f*ing bad.. lol... i wish you worked in desktops.. get my stuff going.. lol
