I know some of the older ones needed pressed off. My 95 needed them pressed off which cost me a decent amount of money.. I'm probably going to pick up a 99 that needs some work, and I may resell it, but the rotors are bad..

:) So as the topic says

do I need to get the rotors pressed off to replace them or can I just do this myself

They need to be cut off due to the rust-welding that happens over time. Have fun with a Sawzall, hammer and chisel.

Might not be that bad, the one's on the her car came off pretty easy. Sprayed some PB Blaster on the backside, a few little taps with a hammer the came off.
