Do the pads when you do the rotors, if only because you're already there. Pads are what affects stopping distance, not rotors, so if you want better braking you want better pads.
do you need better pads for slotted rotors
I just order performance rotors and was wondering if you should use performance pads with them or will stockers be fine?
