Hello all, does a dual tip 2.0L tiburon muffler fit a 2.0L 1999 automatic elantra ?

i would like to get a little more flow from my exhaust system, as you all know, i'm packing a 75HP suprise at the push of a button, and i dont want a ricer sounding muffler on my car...

thats the point of having a sleeper.

regards to all.
Steve.

It will fit but I don't think it is a better performing muffler. Besides even if you bought a realy good muffler it really doesn't do anything if you don't do a full exhaust.

Don't worry you drive a Hyundai. No matter what you do it will always be a sleeper cause no one will expect anything from a Hyundai.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/laugh.gif width=15 height=31 border=0><img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>

i gues youre right... but i still hate the rice boy sound that all these honda kids have... it just sucks to drive a car that sounds like a lawn mower on steroids.

:) still think the tiburon muffler would be slightly better on flow than my elantra muffler because it has dual exhaust tips ....

anybody got one for sale ?

Having two pipes doesnt mean anything. Back pressure is the key with a 4 clynder application. Like autobot said, Dont even bother getting a muffler if you dont upgrade your catback. Muffler= Jewelry for you car. And thats about it. Go with something small and light like a zigen and get a full exhaust. You won't sound ricey.

I don't think the duel tip muffler will flow any better then the single tip ones do. I doubt Hyundai would have down graded the exhaust on the 2nd gen tibs besides they were rated at the same hp.

You best bet is to either keep your current exhaust or buy a full catback system. Buying the stock Tib muffler will be a total waste of money.

The rear sections on both will bolt up but the tib muffler is 2-3" shorter. You will need a longer rear hangar and the tib one will not pass the bumper, it will end just before it. The tib muffler is small compared to the Elantra one, which is HUGE in comparison, and the tib muffler is ALOT louder to. Your better off getting a cat back.
