Would a air intake and exhaust cause a tranny to slip. i find that my car revs high then hits into the next gear<img src=/images/forums/snitz/mad.gif width=16 height=16 border=0>

Not unless you accidently unplugged a vacuum line or something, even then I don't think it wouls "slip", however in this condition it might rev high IN gear, in other words stay in gear longer than it normally should. But NO Intake and Exhaust have nothing to do with transmission gear slippage.

I dont know if you guys experience the same thing, but my 2002 elantra GT needs to be driven hard or there is slip between first and second, and third and forth (automatic). It revs high, then goes to the next gear... but is kinda shitty when running to about 30mph, then slowing down.. as around 30 is right when it revs high..

99/00 Auto trannies had a slipping problem but it should have been fixed under a tsb, BUT slipping is when the tranny doesn't engage. The hi reving may not be a problem at all since better air breathing will let the revs "rise" more between shifts, as long as when you floor it and the tranny shifts promptly it's doing ok, reving a bit higher is normal.
